History of cadwork
In 1980, the CSEM, a research department of the watch industry in Neuchâtel, together with the ETH Lausanne, started the development of the CAD system cadwork.
In 1987, cadwork was adapted to timber construction at the Chair of Timber Construction at the EPF Lausanne as part of a CTI research project under the direction of Andreas Walther. After completion of this research project, Andreas Walther and the project team founded cadwork informatik AG in 1990.
In 1992, cadwork informatik Software GmbH in Hildesheim (D) was added, which has since developed cadwork in the field of timber construction.
Since 1990, 20 subsidiaries have been founded in Switzerland, Europe and the rest of the world.
What distinguishes us
Through practical experience and intensive cooperation with its customers as well as research institutions, cadwork has developed into the competent CAD solution in the construction industry.
Lexocad a cadwork software
In 2005 the development of the 3D software lexocad started as an experiment of the company cadwork. At that time, 3D software was still unthinkable in the construction industry.
The slogan "simply simple" is and remains an important guiding principle of lexocad to this day. In the meantime, lexocad has become an important part of cadwork and it is impossible to imagine the creation of various construction projects without it.
